THE 2024-2025 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON APRIL 1ST
A scholarship is a financial aid award that, like grants, does not have to be repaid. Broward College offers scholarships based on merit, financial need, degree choice, and more. Scholarship funding is limited and completion of the application does not guarantee an award.
You will not need to specify a particular scholarship on the application; we will match you to those for which you may be eligible.
To be considered for a scholarship you must:

If you are a Broward County resident you may be eligible to receive a scholarship for up to 12K to help cover your tuition, books, and supplies for occupational training leading to an exciting high wage, in-demand career!
Studying abroad is an academic program that provides students the opportunity to travel the world while earning credit toward their degree.
Before you start planning your trip, take a moment to check and see if you fulfill the study abroad eligibility requirements:
The William E. Greene Scholarship covers program costs for one term of study abroad at one of the Broward College study abroad programs:
Every year, two scholarships are awarded: one for the Spring, and one for the Fall term. Students who apply for the scholarship will be asked to indicate their preference for one of the locations by specifying their first, second, and third choice, and why they have made this selection.
To be considered for the scholarship, please email the completed WEG scholarship application form to the Study Abroad Office at abroad@broward.edu.
The application deadlines are as follows:
If you received a scholarship, a 'Thank You' letter may be your next step.
As a scholarship donor, receiving a well-written 'thank you' letter from a student is special. Your letter will encourage the donor to continue to support the educational endeavors of students like you.
Please Note: The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program, Broward Futures, and TheDream.US are excluded from the Scholarship 'Thank You' Letter requirement. The Scholarship Office will let you know if a thank you letter is necessary.

You may send your letter as an attachment to thankmydonor@broward.edu
If you receive a scholarship that is not awarded by Broward College, please take your scholarship check to the Cashier's Office. This applies to ALL checks, including those you may receive as a result of a scholarship award posted to your account. Do not send any checks to the Financial Aid Office, as the Financial Aid Office does not process checks. Doing so will cause a delay in posting your scholarship award. You must be currently enrolled at Broward College or the Cashier's Office will not accept the check. Please refer to the 'How to Pay' tab on the Cashier page for more information on this process.
