The Florida Legislature wants to ensure graduates of the Florida College System and State University System have sufficient knowledge of America's civics, particularly the principles reflected in the United States Constitution. Lawmakers modified the existing Civic Literacy Graduation Requirement in fall 2021 and it now impacts many more students.
FCLE testing will be unavailable statewide during the week of Monday, July 29, 2024 through Friday, August 2, 2024 due to maintenance of the statewide testing platform by the exam vendor. Testing will resume on Monday, August 5, 2024.
