Proctoring Services

Broward College offers proctoring services for examinees seeking to take an exam for another institution, agency, or employer. 

The Broward College Testing and Assessment Center offers professional proctoring services for examinees wishing to take a test for another institution, external agency, or employer.

  • All proctoring service requests will be vetted and approved based on testing facility availability. Priority for all testing facilities is given to Broward College needs.
  • Depending on the timing, requirements, and testing facility availability, proctoring service requests may or may not be approved.
  • Proctoring service requests must be submitted and approved by the examinee's home institution, sponsoring agency, or employer before the request will be approved.
  • Proctoring service requests must be received at least 10 business days prior to the desired exam date.
  • Exam dates are subject to change and may need to be cancelled due to a Broward College closure or other unforeseen facility or technology issue on the campus.
  • All exam instructions and materials must be delivered or provided electronically to the selected Broward College Testing and Assessment Center at least 3 business days prior to the scheduled exam time.
  • Examinees are responsible for informing their home institution, sponsoring agency, or employer of Broward College’s proctoring service request and approval process.
  • Testing fees for proctoring services:
    • Must be paid at the time of appointment scheduling.
    • Are based on two-hour block time frames according to the time limit of the exam and not the actual time it takes an examinee to take the exam. The minimum block is 2 hours. Exams with time limits less than two hours will be charged the minimum block of 2 hours.
    • Are non-refundable and non-transferable.
    • Rescheduled exams may require a new testing fee payment.
    • Fees apply to anyone taking a test for another institution, agency, or employer including Broward College students and employees.   
  • Return shipping costs of test materials:
    • Are the responsibility of the examinee.
    • A Prepaid FedEx or UPS envelope must be provided to the Testing and Assessment Center prior to the beginning of the proctoring session.
    • Test materials in the prepaid envelope will be given to the Broward College campus mailroom the business day following the proctoring session. Timing of pickup by FedEx or UPS may vary depending on pickup schedules at Broward College. Test materials will not be delivered by testing staff members to an outside FedEx or UPS location.
    • Tracking of shipped materials is the sole responsibility of the examinee.
    • Insurance of shipped materials is the responsibility of the examinee.
  • All examinees must adhere to the Testing Guidelines, Prohibited Items in Testing, and Acceptable IDs, and Broward College Code of Conduct, which is found in the Student Handbook, when taking a proctored exam at a Broward College Testing and Assessment Center.
