You may be eligible for college credit based on your military educational experiences. Broward College may award college credit for military courses, training, and experiences through various evaluation methods. The three types of evaluation methods are compromised of the following three categories.
Type I is the evaluation of military courses as listed in ACE’s Military Guide for the following Army, Coast Guard, Navy, and Marines. Click here, Request for Evaluation of Courses. Air Force students must submit an official transcript from AU-CCAF.
Type II is the evaluation of other military training and experiences through Prior Learning Assessment (Assessment fee applies and is non-refundable). Students interested in this option should send a copy of the Joint Service Transcript (JST), a copy of their current resume, and course name and ID they would like to challenge to CPL@broward.edu. Program not available during Summer Term.
Type III is the evaluation of Credit-by-Exam, a variety of different tests are available through testing (fees may apply). Students interested in testing, please visit Testing and Assessment. Students who wish to receive transfer credit for completing an exam, please submit their official test scores and transcript (except DLPT) to the College Registrar Office.
